Job summary

Dynavac in Hingham, MA is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will produce independent work according to blueprints, job specifications and verbal instructions, with demonstrated capability in welding and metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld aluminum or stainless steel in flat, vertical or horizontal positions.
• TIG weld aluminum or stainless steel in flat, vertical, or horizontal positions (6G level).
• Set up weld machines and understand manufacturing processes.
• Read prints accurately and follow work orders and verbal instructions.
• Operate saws, shears, brake press, grinders, sanders, beveling, riveting, and rollers.
• Bend, roll, or form materials as required.

Salary range: $31-$36 per hour based on experience. Compensation is open to discussion based on each candidates experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our Fabrication team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of producing independent work according to blueprints, job specifications work orders, and verbal instructions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• MIG Weld Aluminum or Stainless Steel in either a flat, vertical or horizontal direction at a certified level.
• TIG Weld Aluminum or Stainless Steel either flat, vertical, or horizontal, at 6G certified level.
• Advanced knowledge of weld machine setup processes.
• Advanced print reading skills.
• Advanced level of knowledge within the following Manufacturing Processes.
  • Saws, Shears, Brake Press, Grinders, Sanders, Beveling, Riveting, and Rollers.
  • Leak Test, Pressure Testing, LN2 Shock Testing.
• Bending, Rolling, Forming materials in position and out.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Vocational High School diploma or equivalent in Metal Fabrication
• Two to Ten years of manufacturing experience. Preferably in Metal Fabrication.
• Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment.
• May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations
• Minimum to 10% travel requirement to customer sites.

• Must be able to wear safety shoes, goggles, hoods with protective lenses, and other PPEdesigned to prevent injuries
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
