Dynavac seeks a skilled Electrician in Hingham, MA to join our Electrical team. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and wire complex electrical systems, including maintenance, power-up, and repairs for high-vacuum process equipment used in aerospace, defense and thin-film tech.

The role requires wiring, testing, and adherence to NEC code, with opportunities to grow within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Vocational High School diploma or equivalent in Electrical is required.
  • Possess a valid electrician license with 2 years’ experience preferably in controls.
  • Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Minimum 10% travel to customer sites.
  • May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble electrical enclosures unsupervised.
  • Running cables and conduit; wiring of vacuum chambers.
  • Troubleshooting using tools and meters; soldering and testing cables.
  • Understand NEC code and safe wiring practice.
  • Manage workloads and assist apprentices as needed.
  • Perform building maintenance and repair to code when needed.

Salary range: $31-$36 per hour based on experience. Compensation is open to discussion based on each candidates experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Electrical team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record for troubleshooting and wiring complex electrical systems. This includes maintenance, equipment power-up, and repairs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Build and assemble electrical enclosures unsupervised
  • Running cables and conduit
  • wiring of vacuum chambers
  • troubleshooting using various tools and meters
  • Soldering and testing cables
  • Understanding of NEC code and safe wiring practice
  • Manage and balance workloads and changing demands
  • Work with and apprentice and assist them in proper electrical work
  • Perform building maintenance and repair to code when needed
  • Be able to perform complex calculations and wire accordingly
  • Running temporary power for equipment Powering up equipment safely

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to wear safety shoes, goggles, hoods with protective lenses, and other PPEdesigned to prevent injuries
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
  • Salary range: $31-$36 per hour based on experience.
