Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a Fabrication Fitter/Welder to join our manufacturing team in Indianapolis. The role centers on completing assigned welding tasks to produce customer fabrication orders accurately and on schedule, while maintaining high productivity and safety standards.

You will set up and operate welding equipment, read blueprints, inspect work, and fabricate components per specifications. A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of fabrication welding experience are

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience; ability to pass a weld test may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications.
• Attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand and power tools used in welding, including SMAW and GMAW.
• Follow safety practices and maintain a safe working environment.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts before welding using precision tools.
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure they meet specifications.
• Fabricate products to match production specifications and welding procedures.
• Read engineering drawings and work orders to plan welding operations.
• Mark materials with job numbers and identifiers as required.
• Detect faulty equipment or materials and report to supervisors.
