FastTrack Staffing in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a production lead who directs daily work according to the production schedule, oversees safety, helps ensure quality and on-time delivery, and troubleshoots issues as they arise.

The role requires reading blueprints, MIG welding, coordinating with operators, attending weekly production meetings, guiding fabrication teams, and maintaining a safe, organized, efficient shop floor with continuous improvement mindset.

Formación

• MIG welding capability on steel.
• Ability to read blueprints or fabrication drawings.
• Motivated, detail oriented, and a strong team player.
• Good reading and mathematical skills.
• Strong analytical ability and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who works with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership for production and direct work per the schedule.
• Report scheduling issues to Plant Manager and assist with quality checks.
• Receive and organize parts and follow safety procedures.
• Direct workload per employee capabilities and participate in weekly meetings.
• Manage shop floor space and oversee workflow.
• Review prints for galvanized, oversize, CJP or unusual work.
• Receive daily shipments and organize parts for production.
• Provide guidance on fabrication and welding techniques and perform quality checks.
• Schedule weld inspections and coordinate with management and job captains.
