Job summary

KI is seeking a full-time Fabrication Technician for our Green Bay manufacturing facility on the 1st shift. A $1.00/hour raise is provided within the first year of employment. Learn more about KI at www.ki.com.

The role operates equipment that builds metal frames, conducts quality inspections, and uses robotic welders, hydraulic banks, saws, and drills. High school diploma preferred; shift training available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to manufacture metal frames for products.
• Perform quality inspection of components produced.
• Operate fabrication cells with robotic welders, hydraulic banks, saws, benders and drill presses.
• Use tools such as drills, riveters, impact tools, wrenches and hand tools as required.

Job Duties

• The Fabrication technician operates equipment which manufactures the metal fabricated frame for product being produced.
• Quality inspection of the components being produced
• Operate fabrication equipment in the cell such as Robotic Welders, Hydraulic Banks, Saws, Benders, Drill Presses…
• Operate tools required in the cell such as hand held drills/screw guns, riveters, impact tools, screw drivers, wrenches and any other tools that may be required in the area.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

• Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Working in areas where it can get warm
• Working in a smoke free environment
• Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow

Shift

• This is a 1st shift position
• Hours are 6am-2pm Monday – Friday
• Starting rate of pay is $19/hour
• Overtime during busy season
