Job summary

KI in Green Bay seeks a full-time Assembly Technician to join our first-shift team. You will hand weld components according to the production schedule and ensure quality while working with robotic welders and bending equipment.

This role requires a minimum high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and the ability to train on any shift. KI offers employee ownership, strong benefits, and opportunities to grow within a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hand weld products according to production schedules.
• Maintain high quality and ensure proper welds.
• Operate fabrication equipment in the cell (robotic welders, hydraulic banks, drill presses).
• Operate, edit and program tube or wire bending equipment in the cell.
• Follow production schedules and coordinate with the team.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, layout planning, Value Stream Mapping).

Job Description

KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Assembly Technician to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 1st shift. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment

Job Duties

• Successfully hand weld product based on production schedule needs
• Maintain high levels of quality and ensure product is welded properly
• Operation of all fabrication equipment in the cell (robotic welders, hydraulic banks, drill presses…)
• Required to operate, edit and program tube or wire bending equipment in the cell
• Follow production schedules, determine what should run and huddle with the team.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, layout planning, Value Stream Mapping as events happen)

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Working in areas where it can get warm
• Working in a smoke free environment

• Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow

Shift

• This is a 1st Shift position
• Hours are 6am-2pm Monday – Friday
• Overtime during busy season
