Qualifications

• Mechanical - ability to build NIS material part racks and skilled with basic mechanical tools used for fabrication & general mechanical repair.
• Experienced as a builder, mechanic, fabricator, welder, machinist or other related position is required.
• Experience with the use of basic fabrication equipment.
• Good use of logic in understanding and solving problems.
• Team player.
• Ability to look at problems from many angles to find simple, effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures improvement solutions meet Trane/OSHA safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
• Supports Kaizen events comprised of multifunctional team members.
• Assists operations team in problem solving issues that affect goal attainment.
• Maintains shop safety and cleanliness.
