Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT, is seeking an onsite Quality Control / Inspection professional for 2nd shift. You will fabricate, assemble and test components, perform precision inspections, and verify dimensional accuracy using calipers and micrometers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in quality control, with experience using air tools and fixtures for welding prep. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience in quality control and inspection processes.
• Prior use of air tools and fixtures to set-up parts for welding and understanding of location gages such as vernier calipers and depth micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set-up, prepare and perform fabrication, assembly, test and related precision fabrication processes.
• Operate tools and equipment such as power presses, band saws, belt sanders, expanders and power shears to cut and form parts.
• Perform resistance spot welding and salt braze processes.
• Operate milling, drilling and turning operations on CNC/NC equipment.
• Edit machine programs and operate presses and lasers to cut and form details.
• Perform pressure, leakage and functional tests.
