Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support fabrication, assembly and testing of heat exchanger components and related environmental control system parts.

You will perform precision fabrication, inspection, and various processing steps on 2nd shift, with training on 1st/2nd shifts as needed. A high school diploma and hands-on QC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience in quality control and inspection processes.
• Prior use of air tools and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set-up, and perform fabrication, assembly, testing and related precision fabrication processes.
• Operate power presses, band saws, belt sanders, expanders and power shears to cut, form, trim and drill parts.
• Conduct resistance spot welding and salt braze processes.
• Operate CNC/NC equipment for milling, drilling and turning.
• Prepare test pieces and micros using grinders, cutters, sanders and polishers.
• Perform calibration checks and document results.
• Move parts and materials following material flow procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in audits of processes and procedures.
