Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace division is hiring for a 2nd shift fabrication and inspection role at Windsor Locks, CT. You will plan, set up, and perform fabrication, assembly, testing and related precision processes to produce heat exchangers and environmental control components.

The role requires 1–2 years in quality control and inspection, a high school diploma, and experience with air tools, gauges and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience in quality control and inspection processes.
• Prior use of air tools and fixtures to set-up parts for welding and understanding of location gages such vernier calipers and depth micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set-up, prepare and perform fabrication, assembly, test and associated precision fabrication processes.
• Plan, set-up and operate tools and equipment such as power presses, band saws, belt sanders, expanders, and power shears to cut, form, trim, fit, roll, bend, drill and saw material to fabricate detail parts.
• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspection using micrometers, verniers and checking fixtures.
• 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12am, Monday to Friday.
