Job summary

Lonestar Tactical Buildings Llc in Texas is seeking an entry-level Shop Helper/Material Processing Assistant to support the steel fabrication shop. You will assist skilled workers, handle materials, maintain cleanliness, and promote a safe, organized work area.

This role offers growth opportunities in manufacturing and welding trades. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with compensation based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal shop environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining the shop, sweeping, removing scrap, and trash.</br>
• Organize tools and materials with efficiency and precision.
• Assist skilled workers (welders, fabricators, machine operators) with setup and material handling.
• Load/unload steel stock, move parts using carts, dollies, or forklifts.
• Feed materials into saws, shears, or plasma cutters under supervision.
• Assist with shipping prep: banding, palletizing, and wrapping products.
• Support minor repairs or maintenance of tools/equipment (supervised).
• Run shop errands as needed; CDL/Class B preferred for trailer hauling.
