Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator to set up and run CNC press brake equipment, ensuring parts meet print specifications.

You will read blueprints, use gauging tools, and collaborate with engineering to ensure quality while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in press brake setup and operation.
• Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring instruments to determine setup accuracy.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print. Set-up other equipment as assigned.
• Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bend diagrams, and tolerances
• Set up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print. Operate all department equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments; inspect parts.
• Work with engineering to produce parts to print.
• Maintain a safe work environment and inventory of tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description

Responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to bend and form sheetmetal parts accurately and safely according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print. Set-up other equipment as assigned.
• Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bend diagrams, and tolerances
• Set up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print. Must be able to operate all department equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary. Assumes responsibility for inspection of parts.
• Work with engineering to produce parts to print.
• Works in a safe manner and doesn't endanger others.
• Keeps accurate inventory of tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment. Preferably experience in press brake setup and operation.
• Must be able to read blueprints and use a variety of measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of setup.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
