Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Lexington, Virginia is seeking a 2nd shift press brake operator to set up and operate a press brake and related equipment to shape metal per blueprints. You will ensure parts meet quality standards through adjustments and inspections throughout manufacturing.

The role runs 3pm–11pm with a $1.00 shift differential. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and production experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work from verbal and/or written instructions from supervisor and engineers.
• Set up and operate CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print.
• Set up other equipment as assigned.
• Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
• Read and use measuring instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary.
• Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.
• Must have ability to use mathematics in various phases of the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description

Thepress brake operator isresponsible for setting up andoperatinga press brake machine to bend, shape, or cut metal sheets and plates according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring the produced parts meet quality standards by performing necessary adjustments and inspections throughout the manufacturing process

2nd Shift- 3pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities

Work from verbal and/or written instructions from supervisor and engineers.

Operator sets up and operates various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print.

Set-up other equipment as assigned.

Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.

Read and use a variety of measuring instruments.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment asnecessary.

Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.

Must have ability to use mathematics in various phases of the job.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications
