Modine Manufacturing Company in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an early-career Fabrication Setup & Operate - Press Brake for 1st shift (7am–5pm, Mon–Thu). You will set up and operate CNC press brake and related fabrication equipment to produce sheet-metal parts according to prints.

The role requires blueprint reading, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and 1+ year manufacturing experience; High school diploma or GED is required. Benefit-rich company with comprehensive health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably press brake setup and operation.
• Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring instruments to verify setup accuracy.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print; set up other equipment as assigned.
• Fabricate parts using sheet metal tools and machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bend diagrams, and tolerances.
• Set up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print and operate all department equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Input programs in CNC controls and inspect parts.
• Collaborate with engineering to produce parts to print.
• Maintain safe work practices and keep workspace secure.
• Keep accurate inventory of tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description

Responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake equipment to bend and form sheet-metal parts accurately and safely according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print. Set-up other equipment as assigned.
• Fabricate parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bend diagrams, and tolerances
• Set up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print. Must be able to operate all department equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary. Assumes responsibility for inspection of parts.
• Work with engineering to produce parts to print.
• Works in a safe manner and doesn’t endanger others.
• Keeps accurate inventory of tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment. Preferably experience in press brake setup and operation.
• Must be able to read blueprints and use a variety of measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of setup.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
