Job summary

Turner Construction Co. in Decatur, AL seeks a seasoned QA/QC leader to manage the xPL fabrication facility quality program. You will establish and run the plant‑level QMS to ensure assemblies meet drawings, specs and code requirements, driving continuous improvement across design, procurement, fabrication, testing and shipping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in fabrication/manufacturing QA/QC.
• Experience with modular/MEP skids, structural steel, or industrial equipment.
• AWS CWI or ACQ certification.
• NDT Level II (VT/PT/MT/UT) credentials.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AWS, AISC, ASME, coatings standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and maintain the plant Quality Management System (QMS).
• Create and maintain QC plans, ITPs, hold points, and inspection checklists.
• Coordinate receiving, in-process, and final inspections; manage calibration.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory/contractual requirements and coordinate NDE.
• Manage non-conformance intake, MRB, and corrective actions.
• Qualify and audit key suppliers; drive SCARs and PPAP-like submissions.
• Establish SPC and first‑article approvals; lead Kaizen events.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and VDC to resolve fit-up issues.
