Job summary

Bay Advanced Technologies, an Applied Fluid Power subsidiary, seeks a QC Inspector for the Fabrication team in Newark, CA. You will inspect fabrication machine and sheetmetal parts from start to finish, ensuring conformance to drawings and standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 3–10 years in a job shop, with strong knowledge of blueprint reading, ANSI standards, and precision measuring tools such as height gauges, micrometers, and CMMs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3–10 years experience in a Job Shop Environment.
• Knowledge of Math, Trigonometry and Blueprint Reading.
• Knowledge of Machine and Sheetmetal Finishes.
• Be able to work with Metric Dimensions.
• Knowledge of ANSI Standards.
• Familiar with measuring devices (height gage, micrometer, Veriners, Pine Gage, CMM).

Responsibilities

• Inspect Fabrication Machine and Sheetmetal parts from start to finish (e.g., flat layout, forming, welding, paint, plate).
• Ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with production to address non-conformances.
