Job summary

Bay Advanced Technologies, an Applied Fluid Power subsidiary, is seeking a QC Inspector for our Fabrication team in Newark, CA. You will inspect fabrication machine and sheetmetal parts from start to finish, ensuring dimensional accuracy and finish quality.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 3–10 years in a job shop. Proficiency with measuring devices and knowledge of ANSI standards are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience 3–10 years in a Job Shop environment.
  • Knowledge of Math, Trigonometry and Blueprint Reading.
  • Knowledge of Machine and Sheetmetal Finishes.
  • Be able to work with Metric Dimensions.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Standards.
  • Familiar with various measuring devices (i.e. height gauge, micrometer, Vernier, Pine Gauge, CMM).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect Fabrication Machine and Sheetmetal parts from start to finish (flat layout, forming, welding, paint, plate, etc.).
  • Ensure parts meet dimensional and finish specifications.
  • Support quality improvement and documentation.

Role summary

Serve as the inspector for all Fabrication Machine and Sheetmetal parts from start to finish (i.e. Flat layout, forming, Welding, Paint, Plate, etc.) ECT.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience 3-10 years experience Job Shop Environment
  • Knowledge of Math, Trigonometry and Blueprint Reading
  • Knowledge of Machine and Sheetmetal Finishes
  • Be able to work with Metric Dimensions
  • Knowledge of ANSI Standards
  • Familiar with various measuring devices (i.e. height gage, micrometer, Veriners, Pine Gage, CMM)

In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated total compensation for this position is $64,000 to $74,000 Annual Base for Fulltime (at 40 hours per week) depending on experience. This position is an Hourly, Non-Exempt position. All full-time associates are eligible for typical employment benefits expected from an industry leader (including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, life insurance, time off, employee assistance, etc.)
