Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 3–10 years in a job shop, with strong knowledge of blueprint reading, ANSI standards, and precision measuring tools such as height gauges, micrometers, and CMMs.

Qualifications

  • 3–10 years experience in a Job Shop Environment.
  • Knowledge of Math, Trigonometry and Blueprint Reading.
  • Knowledge of Machine and Sheetmetal Finishes.
  • Be able to work with Metric Dimensions.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Standards.
  • Familiar with measuring devices (height gage, micrometer, Veriners, Pine Gage, CMM).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect Fabrication Machine and Sheetmetal parts from start to finish (e.g., flat layout, forming, welding, paint, plate).
  • Ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with production to address non-conformances.

Bay Advanced Technologies, an Applied Fluid Power subsidiary, is currently looking for a QC Inspector to join our Fabrication team in Newark, CA. If you’re outgoing, technically sound, and think you have what it takes.


Role Summary

Serve as the inspector for all Fabrication Machine and Sheetmetal parts from start to finish (i.e. Flat layout, forming, Welding, Paint, Plate, etc.) ECT.


Requirements


  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Experience 3-10 years experience Job Shop Environment

  • Knowledge of Math, Trigonometry and Blueprint Reading

  • Knowledge of Machine and Sheetmetal Finishes

  • Be able to work with Metric Dimensions

  • Knowledge of ANSI Standards

  • Familiar with various measuring devices (i.e. height gage, micrometer, Veriners, Pine Gage, CMM)

In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated total compensation for this position is $64,000 to $74,000 Annual Base for Fulltime (at 40 hours per week) depending on experience. This position is an Hourly, Non-Exempt position. All full-time associates are eligible for typical employment benefits expected from an industry leader (including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, life insurance, time off, employee assistance, etc.)
