Gal Manufacturing in Bronx, NY is seeking a Production Worker (Probationary) to operate fabrication and painting processes in a fast-paced union environment. This entry-level role focuses on machine operation, quality checks, and teamwork to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

The position offers 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shifts, full-time hours, and benefits after 90 days through the union. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be capable of lifting over 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• 1–2 years of machine operation/manufacturing preferred.
• Strong safety and quality standards knowledge.
• Lift over 50 lbs; climb, stand, and walk 8–10 hour shifts.
• Good record-keeping and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and perform machine set-up as required.
• Monitor process parameters to meet specifications.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Recommend preventative maintenance or repairs to maintain equipment reliability.
• Adapt to changes in production priorities and meet hourly/daily targets.
