Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Use measuring tools such as caliper, micrometers, and tape measures to measure parts.

• Perform changeovers for manufacturing equipment.
• Adapt to daily production directions and meet targets.
• Complete forklift and wagon/die change over training.

We are searching for a Production Worker to join our GAL Manufacturing team at Vantage Elevation.

GAL Manufacturing is looking to fill the position of Production Worker (Forklift), who under the direction of the Traffic Manager will primarily be responsible perform in a fast-paced manufacturing plant, have outstanding communication, and strong work ethic. Must operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Ability to read and write in English
• Minimum of 3 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting
• Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
• Must be able to adapt to changes and direction of the daily production
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds

Duties And Responsibilities

• Use various measuring tools such as caliper, micrometers, and tape measures to accurately measure parts.
• Set up and operate equipment to meet facility goals for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
• Perform changeovers as required for all manufacturing equipment.
• Adapt to changes and directions of daily production.
• Meet hourly and daily production targets.
• Complete and pass training for forklift and passenger wagons and die change over.

• Salary for New York Based Applicants: $18.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
