Job summary

The Bernard Group, Inc. in Chanhassen, MN is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the Fabrication team. You will plan, organize and control production to ensure efficiency, on-time delivery, and quality within budget.

Shifts Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Candidates should have a technical diploma and fabrication experience, with plastics knowledge, plus strong problem-solving and customer-service skills. This full-time role offers growth and stability.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Technical or Trade School diploma or certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years minimum related experience in the Fabrication field strongly preferred.
• An understanding of plastics and plastics fabrication (required).

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate internally and externally to ensure production schedule aligns with customer needs.
• Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
• Handle the implementation and execution of training programs for new hires.
• Participate in performance management with the manager to provide coaching and feedback as needed.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff.
• Perform 1 on 1 training and set goals for improvement.
• Maintain appropriate levels of temp labor.
• Issue fabrication related stock items and order as necessary.
• Promotes continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs.
• Perform necessary inventory system and HRIS functions.
• Perform duties in other areas of the acrylics shop as needed.
• Drive improvements in material flow, including cell design and material delivery Interact with other support departments as required.
• Performs miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management.
