Job summary

The Bernard Group, Inc. is a leading visual merchandising company in the Millwork sector, seeking a Production Manager in Chanhassen, MN.

You will lead Supervisors, Leads and shop-floor employees, mentoring and coaching to turn client ideas into tangible, high-quality outputs within budget and schedule. You will evaluate workflows, manage hiring and training, and foster a Passion For Excellence across the team while aligning production with project timelines and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in the wood products industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough understanding of all assigned projects, timelines, scopes, and resourcing needs.
• Evaluate production requirements, including business requirements and material or technical specifications.
• Plan production strategies and time tables; prioritize and implement more efficient workflows to optimize team output and quality.
• Act as a liaison with internal departments to ensure client needs are met within project scope, budget, and timelines; ensure assembly integrity.
• Anticipate production needs and problems and raise concerns to direct supervisor for remediation.
• Circulate production details for internal review and maintain open communication on the production floor.
• Maintain expertise with new technology, trends, prices, production techniques, and suppliers.
• Support a safe environment, driving towards 0 OSHA recordables.
• Represent corporate policy and communicate to employees as required.
• Develop skills and knowledge of team members.
• Drive improvements in material flow and collaborate with support departments.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
