Job summary

Parthenon Tube, Inc is seeking a Fabrication Operator for 2nd shift in La Vergne, TN. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with 40 hours guaranteed and opportunities for advancement.

Under supervision, you will operate fabrication machines and equipment, follow safety policies, and perform basic duties in ERP and paperwork. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three months of related experience or training.

• Basic mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication machines and equipment to produce parts.

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and good housekeeping.
• Complete lockout/tagout training as required.
• Start up/shut down machines during shifts as needed.
• Use ERP to look up stacking requirements for production jobs.
• Complete paperwork such as tags and quality worksheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the production on fabrication machines and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M. culture
• Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Complete equipment specific lockout/tagout training
• Ability to startup & shut machine down equipment during each shift
• Understand & follow change-point-control if quality issue was to arise
• Ensure company tools are properly maintained
• Successfully complete all required paperwork, such as tags, quality worksheets, etc.
• Perform basic functions in ERP system to look up stacking requirements for production jobs
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Ability to meet or exceed established production rates for all parts
• Effectively start up the equipment and produce acceptable product
• Ability to perform adjustments using simple tools
• Able to read, write and comprehend simple work instructions, short correspondence and memos written in English
• Skilled at basic math, including but not limited to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
