Job summary

QubicaAMF Worldwide, LLC is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabrication Technician in Mechanicsville, VA to operate tools and prep parts for the next phase of completion. You will read prints, measure with calipers and protractors, and run drill presses, PEM insert machines, and belt sanders to meet production standards. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, 18+ years of age, and the ability to work a 2:00 p.m.

– 10:30 p.m. shift with mandatory overtime and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret prints and use measuring devices.

  • Maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
  • Keep work area clean and safe; rotate workstations as needed.

Job description

The 2nd Shift Fabrication Technician’s responsibilities will include operating various tools and equipment to prep parts, so products are ready for the next phase of completion.

Essential Functions
  • Hand and power tools are used to deburr and prep parts.
  • Ability to read and understand prints.
  • Use of measuring devices such as calipers, protractors, and squares.
  • Runs machines, including Drill press, PEM inserting machine, and belt sanders.
  • Achieves production efficiency and quality standards.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Rotates workstations according to business and production needs.
  • Adheres to work schedules.
  • Ability to work 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, and Mandatory Overtime when required.
  • Follows company policies regarding attendance, overtime, cell phone use, breaks, and smoking.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift overhead.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment with elevated noise, dust, and activity. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:
  • No travel is required.

$20 - $25 biweekly
