Job summary

QubicaAMF is looking for a 2nd Shift Fabrication Technician to operate drill presses, PEM inserting machines and belt sanders, deburr and prep parts, and read prints to ensure parts are ready for the next stage. You will work 2:00 p.m.

- 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with mandatory overtime, in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse with elevated noise and moving parts. You must lift up to 50 pounds and be at least 18 years old; competitive benefits are included.

Job description

The 2nd Shift Fabrication Technician’s responsibilities will include operating various tools and equipment to prep parts, so products are ready for the next phase of completion.

Essential Functions
  • Hand and power tools are used to deburr and prep parts.
  • Ability to read and understand prints.
  • Use of measuring devices such as calipers, protractors, and squares.
  • Runs machines, including Drill press, PEM inserting machine, and belt sanders.
  • Achieves production efficiency and quality standards.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Rotates workstations according to business and production needs.
  • Adheres to work schedules.
  • Ability to work 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, and Mandatory Overtime when required.
  • Follows company policies regarding attendance, overtime, cell phone use, breaks, and smoking.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift overhead.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment with elevated noise, dust, and activity. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:
  • No travel is required.

$20 - $25 biweekly
