Job summary

nVent is seeking skilled assemblers to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble and install metal building components, read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and capability to adapt to changing schedules in a dynamic production environment. Training provided; opportunities for growth within a global company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in construction, carpentry, drywall, general construction, insulation or related hands-on trade.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions.

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Assemble and install metal building structures, including but not limited to standing up walls, roofs, sheet metal, fiber insulation, and foam board insulation. Install doors, windows, panels, framing, and other structural or mechanical components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions. Perform detailed assembly work to ensure products meet quality, safety, and customer standards. Verify materials and hardware to confirm completeness prior to shipment. Safely operate forklifts, man lifts, and other material handling equipment. Load, unload, position, and secure building materials and finished assemblies for transport. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through regular housekeeping. Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production schedules and delivery timelines. Work independently when required while remaining aligned with team goals. Adapt to changing priorities, production schedules, design changes, and unexpected challenges.

YOU HAVE:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in construction, carpentry, Drywall, General Construction, Insulation or related hands-on trade. Ability to operate small tools, grinders and drills. Familiarity with mechanical assembly, installation processes, and use of hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip. Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs. This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. consistently. Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures.

Pay Transparency nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
