Job summary

nVent in Fulton, MO is seeking an Electrical Assembler to fabricate and assemble electrical systems and supporting structures. Reporting to the plant manager, you will work on hands-on assembly, wiring, and final product preparation.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork; you will read schematics, follow wiring diagrams, and ensure quality while maintaining clean work areas. This is a hands-on manufacturing position with opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications

  • Experience using hand tools and basic assembly practices.
  • Experience in assembly and wiring (or eager to learn—no experience required).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and read schematics/wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and prints (or willingness to learn).

  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace components to meet specs.
  • Read and interpret schematics and work orders.
  • Connect wiring between components per prints and BOM.
  • Measure and cut wire to length.
  • Mark and tag components for inventory tracking.
  • Prepare finished product for shipping and touch up paint.
  • Assist in loading product if required.
  • Ensure tools are in good condition.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and follow quality standards.

As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for helping us fabricate and assemble electrical systems and support structures. Reporting directly to the manager, this position is based in Fulton, MO.

  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Experience in assembly and wiring (or eager to learn! No experience required).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, experience with schematics and wiring diagrams preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and electrical point-to-point prints (or willingness to learn!).
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings and work orders to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Connect electrical wiring between components according to the wiring print, specification sheet, and Bill of Material.
  • Measure and cut wire to accurate length.
  • Mark and tag components so that inventory can be tracked.
  • Prepare finished product for shipping by packaging and touching up paint, etc.
  • Assist in loading product if required.
  • Ensure all tools used on the job are in good working condition.
  • Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Prevent on-the-job injuries by attending safety meetings, forklift training, wearing safety glasses, shields, steel-toed shoes and harnesses, etc.; cleaning work area; and maintaining awareness of Quality Standards, and safety stations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Manufacturing position; spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands, and reaching. Spends app. 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Spends less than 1/3 of time positioning items weighing up to 250 lbs. Generally, requires clear vision at close distances.
