Job summary

Leggett & Platt Salisbury is seeking a Fabrication Maintenance professional to support our carpet underlay production. You will assist the maintenance team by creating, maintaining, and repairing electrical and electronic components used in equipment, and help with mechanical tasks alongside electrical work.

Your role helps ensure the machinery and facility run efficiently and supports timely project completion.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to read, write, and do advanced math.
Must be detail oriented and well organized.
Must be able to change from one task to another frequently.
Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
Maintain equipment and do basic repairs as needed.
Available to work on required Saturday's.

Responsibilities

Repairs, modifies, designs, lays out, or fabricates (with or without blueprints).
Cuts, fits, and welds metal using gas and electric welding equipment; performs skilled brazing and soldering; and uses a variety of machines, such as power saws, grinders, and drills, in completing work.
Interpret prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups and apply fabrication or welding techniques to complete projects.
Assist mechanics in production repairs/installation, and removal of equipment.
Maintain clean and organized work area.
Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor.
