Job summary

Leggett & Platt, LPFP - Salisbury, is seeking a Fabrication Maintenance technician to support our carpet underlay manufacturing. You will help maintain and repair electrical and electronic components across our equipment, perform mechanical tasks, and assist the maintenance team to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication, math skills, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and do advanced math.
• Detail oriented and well organized.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies, designs, lays out, or fabricates (with or without blueprints).
• Cuts, fits, and welds metal using gas and electric welding equipment; performs skilled brazing and soldering.
• Interprets prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups and applies fabrication or welding techniques.
• Assist mechanics in production repairs/installation, and removal of equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor.
