Job summary

Grey Search + Strategy is assisting a rapidly growing, engineering-led thermal solutions provider with a Dayton plant fabrication site seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - Fabrication. You will lead electricians and maintenance techs, diagnosing complex equipment issues and driving a preventive maintenance program to improve reliability.

Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will coordinate with OEMs and vendors, manage spare parts, ensure NEC/NFPA70E compliance, and mentor staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on industrial maintenance, CNC/fabrication equipment experience.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electricians and maintenance techs; prioritize daily work.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment failures on fiber lasers, CNC press brakes, and related equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance program with Continuous Improvement Manager.
• Manage spare parts inventory for critical equipment with long lead times.
• Coordinate with OEM service technicians and external vendors for specialized service beyond in-house capabilities.
• Enforce NEC/NFPA70E and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Train and mentor staff to eliminate single points of failure.
• Maintain maintenance records in the CMMS and equipment history.
• Partner with leadership on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assess equipment condition and recommend capital investments when needed.
