Job summary

Alexandria Industries is seeking a Fabrication Lead for the 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:30am-4:30pm) to oversee the Fabrication department and drive safety, quality, and performance. You will lead a team, ensure adherence to processes, and foster a culture of servant leadership aligned with our values.

The role requires an associates degree in a related field, 2+ years of manufacturing experience, and 1+ year in leadership.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Machine Tool or related program preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
• 1+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to recognize safety concerns.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members.
• Ability to participate in continuous education and training.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in every situation.
• Strong knowledge of key department operations.
• Knowledgeable in companywide computer systems and programs.
• Ability to utilize inspection equipment per designated cell area.
• Work flexible hours, overtime and on-call.

• Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product.
• Ability to read die drawings and inspect parts according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Fabrication department employees.
• Promote safety as top priority and enforce safety programs.
• Coordinate cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate priorities and project assignments across shifts.
• Set up and run equipment safely to maximize output.
• Inspect and ensure quality per customer specifications.
• Review orders and ensure accuracy of manufacturing documentation.
• Monitor performance and conduct employee reviews.
• Develop Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities in the department.
