Job summary

Staffmark is hiring for a Metal Shop Fabrication Manager in Alexandria, LA. The role leads daily production operations on the shop floor, coordinates staffing, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time delivery of metal fabrication work.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on fabrication experience, electrical knowledge, and strong leadership to drive performance, mentoring staff and maintaining equipment and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have metal fabrication experience and strong shop leadership.
• Electrical knowledge and hands-on electrical experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily metal fabrication and shop operations.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate workflow, projects, and employee assignments.
• Monitor quality, safety, and production timelines.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Train and support shop employees.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and material inventory.
