Job summary

Alexandria Industries in Alexandria, MN, is seeking team members for 1st shift (6:30am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri). You will lead with safety as a priority, operate and trouble‑shoot manufacturing equipment, rotate tasks every 4 hours, and ensure orders meet customer specs.

The role emphasizes quality, housekeeping and continuous improvement in a fast-paced factory environment. Ideal candidates show basic math, blueprint reading, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to recognize safety concerns
• Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
• A highly motivated self-starter
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts according to customer specifications

Responsibilities

• Exhibit active leadership to model and support the company’s vision and strategies
• Promote a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following safety programs
• Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently to maximize output and meet quality requirements
• Rotate strenuous or repetitive tasks every 4 hours to prevent injury
• Accurately fulfill customer orders and review specifications
• Package orders per customer specifications and follow the work center schedule
• Monitor and suggest process improvements for safety, rates, yield and inspection
• Perform general machine maintenance to keep equipment in good condition
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvements and keep work area 5S compliant
• Support department key measures and maintain organized work areas
