• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area compliant with safety standards.
• Follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions accurately.

Summary

Responsible supporting shop fabrication operations by assisting with the preparation, assembly, and finishing of materials and components; ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment while meeting production schedules and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of materials, components, and products according to specifications.
• Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products within the shop.
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment under supervision.
• Perform measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and deburring as needed.
• Support skilled fabricators and welders with setup and material staging.
• Inspect materials for defects and report quality or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
• Follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions accurately.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus but not required; Ability to read basic measurements and follow instructions.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills, email.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly; Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures; Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
