Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a shop-based fabrication helper to assist with the preparation, assembly, and finishing of materials and components in a safe, organized environment. You will follow drawings, load materials, and operate basic tools to meet production schedules.

The role requires basic measurement reading, attention to quality, and willingness to support welders and fabricators. This is an on-site position with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; basic measurements reading and following instructions.
• Ability to read basic drawings and follow setup instructions.
• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication and assembly of materials according to specifications.
• Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products within the shop.
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment under supervision.
• Perform measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and deburring as needed.
• Support skilled fabricators and welders with setup and material staging.
• Inspect materials for defects and report quality or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions accurately.
