Job summary

Pilgrim in Omaha, NE is seeking an Operations Management Support to oversee daily fabrication activities and ensure on-time fulfillment of customer orders. The role requires maintaining yield levels, coordinating with Quality Control, and enforcing safety and disciplinary processes. Some travel and extended hours are expected.

The successful candidate will lead a small team, manage hours, and contribute to policy development to improve production efficiency and safety standards at our facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations, preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the meat/food industry, preferred but not required.
• Experience leading a team, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation from fabrication orders to meet customer orders.
• Maintain acceptable yield levels and adjust as needed.
• Perform safety walks at the start of each period and correct non-compliance issues.
• Work with Quality Control to ensure product quality.
• Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees.
• Keep track of employee hours.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of procedures and policies.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage daily operation from fabrication orders to comply with customer orders
• Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and from previous da y to make necessary adjustments
• Perform safety walks at the start of each period co rrecting any non-compliance issues
• Work with Quality Control to ensure appropriate product quality
• Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees
• Keep track of employee hours
• Contributes to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the ov erall function of this position

Required Experience :

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations , preferred but not required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the meat/food industry , preferred but not required
• Experience leading a team preferred but not required .
