Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Fabric Receiving Associate at the Claremont, NC distribution center.

You will receive product, verify against packing lists, unload vendor trucks and containers, and locate fabric with RF scanners. This on‑site role requires at least 1 year in receiving, knowledge of WMS/OMS, forklift certification, and strong organizational and communication skills to keep accurate records and support a fast‑paced operation.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of Receiving department experience.
  • Knowledge of distribution computer systems (WMS and OMS).
  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in standard warehouse operations.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Forklift experience and certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Receive product and verify against packing lists.
  • Unload vendor trucks and containers.
  • Read and identify numbers on fabric rolls.
  • Work flexibly on the Receiving Dock.
  • Use RF scanners to locate items.
  • Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate as part of a team.

Required qualifications

Physical requirements
  • Ability to frequently lift rolls weighing approximately 75 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to bend and twist.
  • Ability to work on your feet the entire shift.
