Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Final Inspector in Memphis, TN to ensure quality in upholstered furniture production. Responsibilities include performing detailed inspections, verifying fabric and frame correctness, and documenting quality issues. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of experience in quality control, preferably in furniture manufacturing.   • Verify ticket and fabric correctness with the frame piece.
  • Take photos of each piece for tracking quality issues.

The Final Inspector position is located in Claremont, NC.

Opportunity

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Cut all strings and detail the whole piece of furniture.
  • Ensure ticket and fabric are correct with the frame piece.
  • Inspect overall appearance to include standing back and visually checking.
  • Complete final inspection to include, but not limited to, all seams are sewn straight, no dropped stitches, no puckered fabric, no fabric defects visible, cushion corners even side to side with tailoring correct, cushions & backs filled out correctly and fit the piece, no lumps or cat tracks, assure all welt is straight and even.
  • Assure all deck labels are in the correct location.
  • Take photos of each piece for tracking quality issues.

Qualifications
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in the quality control area.
  • Experience in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experienced in using computers for tracking and updating kit location for customer service.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
Preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach overhead to remove sewn object from Eton.
  • Ability to frequently lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
