Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Packing Associate at our Claremont, NC location within the Supply Chain team. The role focuses on inspecting furniture pieces, ensuring correct packaging, and maintaining item integrity during handling and movement.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in wrapping/shipping in upholstery environments, be able to lift 50-75 lbs routinely, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong discount program.

ThePackingposition is located inClaremont, NC.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

• Assure the ticket matches the piece of furniture before preparing for packing.
• Check over the piece to ensure there is no visible damage and nothing is missing.
• Keep the piece clean, damage-free and protect legs on the piece when moving around on the floor, hoisting on the lift and conveyor.
• Pack piece according to established standards – usually consisting of solid tray, interpack with double lining, foam corner protectors, and clear shrink bag.

• At least 3 years’ experience in the wrapping and shipping department with specific experience in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment preferred.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials (preferred).
• Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
• Good communication skills – oral and written.
• Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work professionally with other departments to resolve issues.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
