Job Description
Photo Lab is a digital graphic printing company with a national customer base. Our market includes the museum, tradeshow, and retail industries. We produce high-end one-of-a-kind graphics and are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented team player to sew and provide finishing to our grand format fabric and vinyl graphics.

Typical fabric or vinyl widths can run up to 120” wide and can be unlimited linear feet in length. The position will consist of any combination of the following:

1. Reviewing detailed work-orders and following specific instructions for graphic completion
2. Reviewing a client’s detailed drawings and providing input on how graphic should be fabricated and finished to achieve required result
3. Working with portable structures and aluminum frames in various sizes
4. Calculating measurements and trim areas to accommodate for pockets, hems, or silicone edge gaskets
5. Trimming edges of various types of fabric using a straight ruler and razor or hot knife
6. Sewing gaskets, weights, webbing, Velcro, or grommets using an industrial sewing machine
7. Lifting, building, and fitting structures with finished graphic piece to ensure proper fit
8. Managing all fabric jobs in-house for proper time-management to ensure completion by deadline

The work for this position will be primarily completed within the normal workweek of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Because the tradeshow industry is cyclical in nature, there will be periods of both busy and slower workflow. Flexibility is key to this position. During the busiest months, additional hours through the week and/or weekends may be needed. At slower times, weekly work may be limited to 1-2 days per week.

The following skill set is required:

1. Must be experienced with sewing
2. Knowledge of industrial lock-stitch, chain-stitch, or serger sewing machines a plus
3. Must be able to easily move around, climb on tables, and walk up and down stepladders as needed
4. Knowledge of the digital printing industry a plus
5. Must be able to fluently read a tape measure
6. Must be able to view detailed drawings and written instructions and articulate solutions
7. Must be able to work independently, but collaborate with project staff as needed
8. Detail oriented with a high quality mentality
