Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician for the Company’s Field Services organization, supporting FAA contracts. The role focuses on field support within ZDC airspace and requires travel to FAA sites within a 3-hour drive from the Washington DC metro area.

Essential duties include testing, rack installation, and configuring routers/switches, with a need for security clearances and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust and DOD securityClearance.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel up to 100% within a 3-hour drive circle of base location.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for FAA contracts (FTI, ADSB, DCNS, FSG programs).
• Support field service in ZDC airspace and FAA site locations.
• Install equipment racks and configure network gear as needed.
• Perform cable, fiber, and network testing per standards.
• Maintain security clearances and comply with safety requirements.
