Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to support the FAA’s Engineering Services Terminal. The role requires planning, coordinating, and performing complex assignments with independence, while keeping project leadership informed.

Primary duties include on-site surveys, CAD drawings, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones. A degree in electronics or electrical engineering and relevant experience are required, with clearance and safety responsibilities

Qualifications

• Requires Electronics or Electrical Engineering degree plus 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 2–6 years, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation and related design tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently within a large engineering organization.
• Knowledge of NAS/FAA-related standards is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site surveys and develop to-scale designs with detailed reports.
• Generate sketches showing installation relations with precise specs and dimensions.
• Participate in construction and final inspections.
• Coordinate design components with multi-disciplinary teams for site modifications.
• Prepare construction drawings and site-specific specifications and cost estimates.
• Manage project communications, safety plans, and risk registers.
• Track acceptance inspections and coordinate closure actions with stakeholders.
