Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power related degree with 6+ years experience, or a Master’s with 4+ years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to document clearly.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and management levels.
• Experience designing 120/208V and 480V electrical systems for commercial/industrial/government facilities.
• Strong NEC knowledge and electrical distribution design experience.
• Experience with pumps, motors, air handlers, and related systems.
• Load calculations and coordination of standby generators and UPS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and organization of documentation.
• Strong AutoCAD experience and ability to generate construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design electrical systems for FAA buildings and structures.
• Perform on-site surveys, develop to-scale designs, and prepare detailed reports.
• Test power systems and participate in construction inspections and approvals.
• Coordinate with engineering staff to resolve design/implementation issues.
• Prepare drawings, wiring diagrams, and site-specific specifications.
• Manage project communications, risk registers, and safety plans.
• Coordinate and complete work permits and ensure timely project milestones.
