Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, inspections and alterations on company-operated aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and internal policies. You will verify part numbers, maintain documentation, and participate in SMS improvements while traveling 25–50% as needed.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, the ability to read 337s and service bulletins, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–5 years related experience
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
• FAR 135 operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components per procedures, directives and FARs
• Verifies part numbers and serial numbers match documentation after installation/removal
• Maintains maintenance documentation in compliance with FARs and manuals
• Participates in Safety Management System (SMS) programs
• Advises PIC of maintenance issues that could take aircraft out of service
• Requests parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs
• On-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Travel 25–50% for Part 135 operations
