Boeing Defense is seeking a First Line F/A-18 SLM Manufacturing Manager to support our San Antonio operations. You will oversee a diverse team across fuels, hanger, ramp and serviceability, driving modernization of the Navy’s FA-18 fleet within the Service Life Modification program.

The role reports to the FA-18 SLM Senior Operations Manager and requires strong leadership, program management, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• At least one year in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, cross-functional project/program management) OR have completed Boeing’s Exploring Leadership course.
• 5+ years of experience working with aircraft maintenance and/or modifications.
• Experience with the Navy and F/A-18 is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee a team upgrading and modifying FA-18s for the Service Life Extension Modification Program.
• Manage employees in multiple manufacturing disciplines including fuels and hangar operations.
• Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures; craft organizational and technical strategies.
• Acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.
• Build relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Oversee technical approaches, products and processes; mentor staff.
• Promote a safety and quality-driven environment.
