Job summary

RTX, in conjunction with Pratt & Whitney, seeks a seasoned engineer for F-135 propulsion support in the US. You will work onsite, coordinating with PW teams and government partners to ensure safe maintenance, system integrity, and accurate reporting of aircraft and engine data.

Candidates must hold a DoD Secret clearance, be a US citizen, and be prepared for a 3+ year unaccompanied assignment with potential extended hours during deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in aircraft gas turbine engine maintenance, logistics, or logistics support.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance eligibility.
• Assignment may occur in a high-security environment; comfortable operating there while following safety protocols.
• Role is unaccompanied and requires independent relocation for the duration.
• Must support an assignment length of 3+ years and possible extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support F-35A/F135 operations including systems, tooling, material and processes.
• Interact hands-on with engine software/hardware, aircraft and personnel.
• Conduct controls activities related to aircraft download processing and monitoring health codes.
• Advise customers on F135 propulsion system maintenance per technical data and safe procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with PW team, IAF, and Lockheed Martin.
• Collaborate with internal PW teams to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
• Provide comprehensive reporting on aircraft/engine status and usage.
