Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Underwriter for Finance & Insurance (F&I) to support underwriting execution, risk evaluation, pricing analysis and portfolio monitoring of F&I products such as Debt Protection and Vehicle Service Contracts.

This role reports to the Vice President of Underwriting and collaborates with the Warranty & Lender Solutions team. You will build underwriting guidelines, analyze portfolio performance, and support the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle from

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in F&I, specialty insurance, or related lines.
• Ability to evaluate risk, interpret loss experience, analyze financial information, and prepare sound underwriting recommendations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk selection, pricing, and program structure for new and existing accounts within assigned authority and guidelines.
• Support development of underwriting guidelines, pricing assumptions, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
• Analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, audits, and KPIs; identify issues and recommendations for action.
• Refer large, complex, or sensitive accounts to senior leadership with analysis and next steps.
• Support relationships with clients, agents, OEMs, and third-party administrators with timely underwriting analysis and issue resolution.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to align underwriting solutions with program needs.
• Participate in onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing to promote consistency.
• Support end-to-end underwriting lifecycle including quote letters, binding, policy issuance, and post-bind activities.
• Review portfolio reports and loss projections; summarize insights for leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of F&I products, regulatory considerations, and market dynamics.
