Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an Underwriter, Finance & Insurance to support underwriting execution, risk evaluation, pricing analysis, and portfolio monitoring across F&I products. You will report to the VP of Underwriting and collaborate with the AWLS team.

You will analyze risk, assist with guidelines and pricing assumptions, and help drive portfolio performance while maintaining strong client relationships and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in F&I, specialty insurance, or related lines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk selection, pricing, and program structure for new and existing accounts within assigned authority and established underwriting guidelines.
• Support the development and documentation of underwriting guidelines, pricing assumptions, and portfolio optimization initiatives in partnership with the AWLS management team.
• Analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, audits, and KPIs; identify issues and prepare recommendations for corrective action.
• Refer large, complex, special risk, or sensitive accounts to senior underwriting leadership with clear analysis and recommended next steps.
• Support relationships with clients, agents, OEM’s, and third-party administrators by providing timely underwriting analysis, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and align underwriting solutions and operational capabilities with program needs.
• Participate in onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing activities to promote consistency across the underwriting team.
• Support the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle, including quote letter development, binding, policy issuance coordination, and post-bind activities.
• Review portfolio reports, loss projections, and performance metrics; summarize insights for underwriting leadership.
• Maintain working knowledge of F&I products, regulatory considerations, trade association updates, and competitive market dynamics.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging risks; share observations and support updates to underwriting approach and risk appetite as directed.
