Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks an Underwriter in Finance & Insurance (F&I) to support underwriting execution, risk evaluation, pricing analysis, and portfolio monitoring for a range of F&I products.

This role reports to the VP of Underwriting and collaborates with the AWLS team and cross-functional partners. The successful candidate will evaluate risk, set pricing, and ensure program structures align with business objectives, while maintaining strong client relationships and accurate

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in F&I, specialty insurance, or related lines.
• Ability to evaluate risk, interpret loss experience, analyze financial information, and prepare sound underwriting recommendations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk selection, pricing, and program structure for new and existing accounts within authority and guidelines.
• Support development and documentation of underwriting guidelines, pricing assumptions, and portfolio initiatives.
• Analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, audits, and KPIs; identify issues and recommend actions.
• Refer large, complex, or sensitive accounts to senior leadership with clear next steps.
• Support relationships with clients, agents, OEMs, and third-party administrators with timely underwriting analysis.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to align underwriting solutions with program needs.
• Participate in onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing to promote consistency.
• Support end-to-end underwriting lifecycle from quote letter to post-bind activities.
• Review portfolio reports and summarize insights for leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of F&I products, regulations, and market dynamics.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging risks and update underwriting approach.
