Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. in Chicago seeks an Underwriter for Finance & Insurance (F&I) to support underwriting execution, risk evaluation, pricing analysis, and portfolio monitoring across Debt Protection Products, Vehicle Service Contracts, Limited Warranties and related lines.

You will report to the VP of Underwriting and collaborate with the AWLS team and cross-functional partners. You will evaluate risk, help develop guidelines, analyze performance, and support client relationships while

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in F&I or related lines required.
• Ability to evaluate risk and interpret loss experience.
• Effective client and partner communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk selection, pricing, and program structure within authority and guidelines.
• Support development of underwriting guidelines, pricing assumptions, and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, audits and KPIs; recommend corrective actions.
• Refer complex or sensitive accounts to senior leadership with analysis and next steps.
• Support relationships with clients, agents, OEMs and third-party administrators with timely underwriting analysis and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align underwriting solutions with program needs.
• Participate in onboarding and knowledge-sharing to promote consistency.
• Assist end-to-end underwriting lifecycle from quote to policy issuance and post-bind activities.
• Review portfolio reports and performance metrics to inform leadership.
